Corrosion wear

The fuel produced many harmful substances in the combustion chamber of the engine combustion, generally every 100 gallons of gasoline combustion would produce 1-5 pounds of nitrogen and sulfate, these substances will not only cause the corrosion of the cylinder, but also through the three ring (top, middle and bottom ring) went to the engine, the main components of the engine. Such as cam crankshaft caused by metal corrosion, the corrosion by use of lubricating oil can not be eliminated.


Corrosion and wear

After the engine is shut down, the engine is cooled from high temperature to low temperature. This temperature change process will cause water cooling and water accumulation inside the engine. This will cause serious metal corrosion to the engine, especially start the engine short distance operation again, and it will be worse if the engine temperature is too late to evaporate the water vapor. This is also impossible for the lubricating oil to solve.


Strong wear caused by dust

The engine needs to be inhaled when it burns, and even a good air filter is difficult to avoid inhaling dust with the air into the engine. As the dust is inhaled, it causes strong wear and tear, which is not completely eliminated by the lubricating oil.  Especially in the areas where drought and rain, wind and sand are large in China, this kind of strong wear performance is more prominent.


Cold start dry friction

General Motors Corporation's research shows that when the engine stops for 4 hours, all lubricants on the friction interface will return to the lubricating oil tank. At this time, the engine is started. Due to the time when the oil pump is too late to lubricate the lubricating parts, it will cause periodic lubrication loss and dry friction in a short time, resulting in severe abnormal wear of the engine. This kind of strong wear can not be solved by the lubricating oil. (another study indicates that this strong wear accounts for more than 70% of the total engine wear and tear).


Normal wear and tear

Wear that occurs when the engine runs normally. After a clear understanding of the cause of engine wear, it is clear that the lubricating oil plays a role in reducing engine wear. At the same time, it is clear that the use of anti-wear protection products to prolong the service life of the engine, maintenance of the importance of the engine.
